Highway 101 Road Conditions from Crescent City, California to Reedsport, Oregon - 1/21

Water is ponding on the road surface south of Coos Bay. This is a very hazarous situation. Reduce speed and drive with caution.
Del Norte County - California - Construction is occurring at mile post 5.6 to mile post 6.3 north of the junction with State Route 271. Traffic is reduced to one land of travel in each direction.
Curry County - Oregon - Construction is occurring at mile post 347....8 miles north of Brookings. Traffic controlled with temporary traffic signals. Use caution and watch for workers. Thomas Creek Bridge rehabilitation project.
Coos County - Oregon - Construction is occurring 3 miles south of Port Orford. Use caution. Watch for intermittent lane closures and delays due to paving work. Flaggers will provide traffic control as needed.
Coos County - Oregon - Construction is occurring at the intersection with Highway 42. This project will replace a failing culvert and tide-gate that conveys water underneath U.S. 101, near the Oregon 42 junction, with two bridges (northbound and southbound U.S. 101). The work zone speed limit has been reduced to 40 MPH. Watch for workers and equipment. Southbound traffic is limited to a single lane. Oregon 42 westbound and U.S. 101 northbound will merge into one lane and follow a diversion alignment to allow for construction of the northbound bridge. Motorists should use caution and watch for traffic control devices.
Douglas County - Oregon - Construction of a temporary bridge is occuring at Lakeside. There will be one lane of traffic through the area with flaggers controlling traffic 24 hours a day. Expect up to 20 minute delays.
Douglas County - Oregon - Construction is occuring at intersection of Highway 38 in Reedsport. Southbound US-101 motorists should watch for lane and shoulder closures between the Umpqua River Bridge and 13th Street due to sidewalk construction. On OR-38, watch for intermittent lane closures between downtonw Reedsport and Dean Creek (milepost 1-6). Flaggers will provide traffic control as needed.
