Highway 101 Road Conditions from Crescent City, California to Reedsport, Oregon - 5/8

Curry County - Oregon - Road construction is occurring at mile post 343 13 miles north of Brookings. Use caution. This project will return the highway to its original pre-slide alignment, perform ditching, and install new drainage facilities. Watch for intermittent lane closures. Flaggers will provide traffic control as needed.
Curry County - Oregon - Road construction is occurring 12 miles south of Port Orford at mile post 313. Use caution. This project will rebuild the shoulder and stabilize the slope along the southbound lane using soil nails, long metal rods that are installed in the ground under the road to improve ground stability. Watch for traffic control devices related to intermittent lane and shoulder closures. Speed advisories will be in place during construction activities.
Curry County - Oregon - Road construction is occurring from mile post 304 to mile post 333 south of Port Orford. Use caution. This project will level and pave portions of U.S. 101 that have sunk during last winter’s storms. Watch for intermittent lane closures and expect delays under 20 minutes. Flaggers and pilot cars will provide traffic control as needed.
Coos County - Oregon - Road construction is occurring at mile post 234 through mile post 235. Use caution. This project will paint the steel truss section of McCullough Bridge, replace rivets, remove rust and repair damaged steel. Construction is scheduled for completion in fall 2021. Watch for intermittent nighttime (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) lane closures each Sunday night to Friday morning. Pedestrians should watch for intermittent sidewalk closures. At all times, at least one of the bridge’s sidewalks will remain open.
